Kemi is the Settlement Services Coordinator and assists new comers to Peterborough find employment as well as connects with local employers looking to hire new Canadians.

Originally from Nigeria, Kemi was raised in a number of countries in West Africa. She moved to Canada in 2005 to attend Trent University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Honours in English Literature and International Development Studies.

Kemi really enjoys working with newcomers to Canada and specifically to Peterborough. She believes Peterborough is a great community and looks forward to making connections between newcomers and local employers.

Kemi is an avid feminist and cyclist. She sits on the boards of the YWCA Peterborough/ Haliburton and Kawartha World Issues Centre. As a newcomer to Peterborough herself, she is delighted to welcome others and to help them explore and feel a part of their new community.
