Launch of the Living Library Project

September 25 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

This fall, the New Canadians Centre will be launching a new project – The Living Library.

The Living Library will feature four immigrants with unique and compelling stories of transition, settlement, and belonging. This fall, organizations and individuals can “check-out” or book a featured immigrant to share their story at a gathering, staff event, or over coffee and learn more about the immigrant experience and other cultures. The Living Library will introduce new speakers and stories every four months.

Join us for the launch of the project and can get a sneak peak at the stories and individuals featured in the first round of The Living Library.

Light refreshments will be available. Please feel free to bring your lunch to the event.

This event is open to the public. For more information, please contact Bhisham: bhisham@nccpeterborough.ca or (705) 743-0882.
