Support Services

Our Support Services include:

Childminding

Where capacity exists, we provide on-site, volunteer childminding for specific activities so that clients are better able to attend our programs and services.

Eligibility:

Varies by activity (e.g. age of child)

Client Requirements:

Parent or guardian on site at all times

Transportation

Where capacity exists, we provide bus tickets (single or day ride) so that clients are better able to attend our programs and services.

Eligibility:

Varies by activity

Client Requirements:

May be asked for proof of income

Provision for Disabilities

We comply with and are committed to the principles of the Government of Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Ontario Human Rights Code.  Requests for accommodation are considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with our Accessibility Policy

Clients who require accommodation to access NCC services

Client Requirements:

Request with specific accommodation requirements

Interpretation

Where capacity exists, we provide non-professional interpretation through the use of staff, contracted interpreters, or volunteers for clients as part of our RAP, Short Term Settlement Assistance or Planned Support Services.  We also offer connections to free, certified interpretation for victims of abuse and referrals to for-fee interpretation services.

Clients receiving RAP, Short Term Assistance or Planned Support Services

Client Requirements:

Active participation in Settlement or Support Plan

Translation

Where capacity exists, we provide non-professional translation through the use of staff or volunteers for clients as part of our RAP, Short Term Settlement Assistance or Planned Support Services.  We also offer referrals to for-fee translation services.

Eligibility:

Clients receiving RAP, Short Term Assistance or Planned Support Services

Client Requirements:

Active participation in Settlement or Support Plan
