Born and raised in the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, Phuc (Paris) is now accustomed to the tranquility of this small-ish town called Peterborough.
Paris started with the New Canadians Centre as a volunteer Community Interpreter in 2017 and is now working as the Fund Development Officer since 2020 (a life-changing period for her and many others!).
She believes in making a difference with small acts of kindness and appreciates the support from our community partners.
Paris brings a diverse range of experiences from her work in Vietnam (Research Assistant, English as a Second Language Teacher, Conference Interpreter), and in Canada (having served the Peterborough and Northumberland regions as an Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant from 2018-2021) to the NCC.
Everyday, she feels blessed working with her amazing team of compassionate people and connecting with generous supporters. Paris hopes to bring everyone together through her role in donor relations.
When “off duty”, she likes to spend time with her faith community, practice French, sing karaoke, read or listen to (audio)books and plan for her next adventure 😀
