Skills Development Specialist
Sabrina holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology from McMaster University and a Graduate Certificate in Career Development. Upon completing her graduate studies, Sabrina became a Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) with the Career Development Practitioners’ Certification Board of Ontario (CDPCBO).
Before joining the NCC, Sabrina worked in post-secondary institutions including McMaster University and Ryerson University engaging in workshop facilitation, career counselling, and job developing. During her time at Ryerson, Sabrina worked at the Diversity Institute where she supported the Newcomers Entrepreneurship Hub (NEH) and Women’s Entrepreneurship Hub (WE-Hub) programs. Sabrina has also worked in non-profit spaces running federally funded Youth Skills Link (YSL) employment programs for youth between the ages of 15 and 30 as an Employment Counsellor and Job Developer.
Sabrina loves helping others to navigate the labour market and move forward along their career journeys. She recently moved to Peterborough in 2020 and is happy to have found a place to settle down and call home.
