Home, Disrupted: Stories of Displacement and Belonging-A World Refugee Day Community Conversation
June 19 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Join us for an evening of storytelling, reflection, and connection as we honour World Refugee Day through lived experiences.
Home, Disrupted brings together powerful voices from our community – refugees who have experienced displacement and the long journey of rebuilding, as well as local residents and volunteers who are part of that journey toward belonging. Together, their stories explore what it means to lose a home, find safety, and create new roots in a new place.
This event invites us to listen deeply, build empathy, and reflect on the collective role we all play in shaping a welcoming community.
Special thanks to this years panelists : Carlos Padrino, Charlotte Nzabondera, David McNab, Kristy Hiltz, Rashid Sheikh Hassan, Sahimar Padrino
