Planting for the Prairie *Northumberland*
October 19 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Let’s join the Nature Conservancy of Canada for a wonderful day of planting in the tallgrass prairie!
We will help plant plugs in sandy soil, making the digging easy and enjoyable for everyone. All necessary tools, including trowels and gloves, will be provided.
It is a simple and fun way to connect with nature and meet new people!
This event will proceed rain or shine, so please dress for the conditions: rubber boots, long layers of comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty, a hat and a change of dry clothes.
Also, please bring a lunch/something to eat and water.
Registration is required – please contact Anna at [email protected], (905) 519-3472.
We will meet at the Hazel Bird Nature Reserve. The gravel laneway at 4639 Robson Road will lead to parking at the barn.
