This March Break, Explore Your Future Career, Goals, And Interests!
The Youth Explore Program is a 4-day career exploration program where newcomer high school youth will learn about future careers through fun and interactive activities. During this program, participants will:
- Learn about the labour market in Peterborough and how to decide what to do after high school
- Learn about Trent University’s expanded co-op programs and how to get into the trades
- Experience different jobs and practice interviews using VR (Virtual Reality)
- Make connections and network with professionals in different jobs during a Career Panel
- Participate in a Job Fair with employers from around Peterborough and apply for spring and summer positions
- Become more confident in their job search and improve their resume and cover letter writing skills
The program will run every day from March 13 to 16 in person at PACE at PCVS (201 McDonnel St.).
Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the program. Bus passes are available to cover transportation costs and lunch will be provided.
Participating youth will be entered into a raffle to win prizes!
