Spring Celebration – FULL

Join us for a special event celebrating Nowruz, Ramadan, and Spring!
This will be a great opportunity to learn about and celebrate two very important holidays happening soon for many NCC clients.
Nowruz takes place on the spring equinox and is celebrated as the New Year by many of our Persian, Afghan, Kurdish, Turkish, and Iraqi clients for 13 days after that.
Ramadan is a holy month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community for Muslims, the followers of Islam. This year, Ramadan will be taking place from March 22 to April 20.
There will be music, open time to talk together and craft activities including:
– Lentil sprout planting in paper cups with face decorations (Nowruz, Spring)
– Hand-painting eggs (Nowruz, Spring)
– Making moon & star ornaments (Ramadan)
– Card-making (for all occasions!)
Lunch will be provided.
This is a family-friendly event open to volunteers, clients and friends.
