Human Trafficking Workshop
May 29, 2023 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Did you know that Human Trafficking is one of the fastest-growing crimes worldwide?
The highest-risk victims are:
- those with language barriers
- unemployment barriers
- trauma from leaving war-torn countries
- poverty
- poor living arrangements
- and many more issues
Volunteers and employees will be the first to encounter the issue; however, they may not even realize the subtle signs of trafficking people. If you would like to learn more, please sign up for our workshop facilitated by NCC volunteer Tanya Kyryliuk. Tanya works for the Office in Professionalism, Respect, Integrity and Leadership (OPRIL) in the OPP.
The OPP and RCMP work together to monitor and enforce these cases, and to provide training presentations to volunteers and employees that work directly with new people entering Canada.
This event is open to all community members.
Registration is required. Please click here to register!
