Living Library Plus – Manal’s Story

The New Canadians Centre (NCC) Living Library aims to share human stories of immigration and integration by highlighting diverse and compelling stories of transition, settlement and belonging through personal storytelling by current and former NCC clients.
Light refreshments will be served.
From Syria to Lebanon to Canada
Manal Agha’s journey began in Syria, continued through Lebanon, and eventually led her to Canada. Seeking safety and a brighter future for herself, Manal relocated to Peterborough, where she found a welcoming community and a new beginning. With support from the New Canadians Centre, she embraced her new life, learning English and building a strong sense of belonging. Manal’s story is one of resilience, adaptation, and new beginnings.
