Activities and Events

We offer many activities and events throughout the year. To keep up to date, please join our mailing list by sending your email address to our Outreach Coordinator. You will receive one or two emails per month letting you know about our activities, events, job postings, and important news.

Multicultural Festival
Every June, we organize a celebration of cultural diversity in Canada and Peterborough.

Women's Group
Join our Women’s Group for fun events. This social group invites all women to come together to discuss different topics, share ideas, and participate in social events.  It is a great way to meet others and give support to newcomer women.

English/Spanish/French Conversation Classes
We offer conversation classes for newcomers and community members to practice a new language.  Participants should have some basic knowledge of the language before coming to the classes. The classes are informal and do not require registration.  Spanish and French classes are open to NCC volunteers and members.

Group Trips
We have explored the Peterborough Petroglyphs, ridden bicycles to Lakefield, canoed Little Lake, taken a boat tour through the 1,000 Islands, visited Niagara Falls, and have seen a Blue Jays baseball game.  If you have a good idea for a trip, please let us know.
