HR and Admin Officer
Kirk grew up in Prince Edward County before moving to Hamilton to pursue his undergraduate degree in Honours History at McMaster University. After completing his degree, he lived in Hamilton for several years before moving to Toronto, where he became licensed as a paralegal through the Law Society of Ontario and earned his Alternative Dispute Resolution certification. Kirk gained experience in Canadian and American immigration law by supporting clients, drafting applications and corresponding with government contacts until the Covid-19 pandemic hit and temporarily halted the movement of people around the world.
Kirk then settled in Peterborough and is happy to call the city home. He gained valuable experience in administration and the non-profit sector before joining the NCC. He enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and playing board games with his friends and family.
