Leigha MacDiarmid is a dedicated Life Skills worker with a passion for empowering individuals through education.
Since 2023, she has focused on developing a comprehensive life skills program in Peterborough/Nogojiwanong, emphasizing digital literacy and financial proficiency. Leigha primarily works with government-assisted refugees to cultivate essential skills for independent living.
With a Master's in International Development from York University, specializing in immigration and forced resettlement policies and programs, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her work.
Having grown up in the Peterborough/Northumberland area, Leigha is deeply committed to the growth, diversifying and welcoming of her community. In her free time, she enjoys soaking up sunny days on the beach and taking leisurely walks with her cat.
