Maria Enriquez-Jakins

Maria Enriquez Jakins is a Social Service Worker who has completed her studies at Fleming College.

Maria is a second-generation Canadian whose family migrated from Mexico to Peterborough in 2008, an experience that heavily influenced her career aspirations and led her to volunteer with the NCC as a teenager. Ever since her migration to Canada, she developed a passion for immigration and diversity as she saw first-hand how immigrants enriched communities across the country. Maria helps new immigrants feel welcomed and integrated into the community.

Maria enjoys being active, and her favourite activities are running and road cycling.
