Nancy first visited the NCC when she moved from Egypt to Canada in 2019. As a newcomer, she was looking for support with finding jobs. A couple of years later, driven by her will to help people, Nancy returned to NCC as a volunteer. She learned more about the organization and the support and services it provides for newcomers, and she decided she wanted to work here and help as many people as possible.
When Nancy saw the Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) Assistant job posting, she knew that that position was meant for her. She is happy to join the NCC team!
Nancy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from the University of Interior Design in Alexandria. She worked in showrooms and had her own small online interior design business for five years. She also worked as a kindergarten teacher and School Activities Coordinator for many years.
Nancy loves travelling and learning about different cultures. She has visited 11 countries and is planning to visit more! Her experience working with the public and her passion for learning about different cultures will be much appreciated in her position at the NCC.
Besides work, Nancy loves spending time with her family, listening to music, travelling, and being around and playing with children.
Nancy is on parental leave for 2024 and will return in 2025.
