Tu Nguyen moved to Peterborough in 2016 from Vietnam to study. In 2020, Tu graduated from Trent University with a Biology and Chemistry degree, specializing in Public Health Science. Inspired by her mom, Tu is passionate about helping out organizations that promote and support physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Tu volunteered at the art and music drop-ins on Fridays. When she saw the NCC Community Development assistant position, she knew that was what she meant to do. She is passionate about making everyone feel heard and involved, especially newcomers in Canada. She believes her life mission is to support them on their journey to achieving their purposes and feel a sense of belonging.
