Community Conversations: Exploring Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program

Join the Peterborough Public Library and New Canadians Centre for an insightful evening on the realities faced by temporary foreign workers (TFWs) in Canada, as part of the “One Book, One Ptbo” series, inspired by Catherine Hernandez’s “The Story of Us”.
The event begins with a panel discussion and refreshments, exploring immigrant contributions, pathways to permanent residency, and the challenges TFWs face. Following this, enjoy a screening of “Becoming Labrador”, a documentary about Filipino workers in Labrador.
