“Introduction to Indigenous Peoples in Canada For Newcomers” Workshop

Join us for an engaging and informative session designed to introduce newcomers to the diverse Indigenous Peoples of Canada. Learn about the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities, their histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions to Canadian society.
This session will also explore the impacts of colonization, the importance of Truth and Reconciliation, and the role newcomers can play in building respectful relationships with Indigenous Peoples.
This session will be beneficial for newcomers attending the Curve Lake Pow Wow in September.
Care for Newcomer Children (CNC) childcare may be available on request during this workshop.
