Join the Newcomer Leadership Group!
This 7-week workshop series is a leadership training program that will help you to develop your skills and confidence to engage in the community.
This series is open to anyone who is new to Canada and looking to do more as a volunteer or community leader in Peterborough.
Topics include:
- Belonging in our community
- My community through my lens
- Focused listening
- Combatting misinformation & disinformation
- Skills for community involvement
You will also have the opportunity to hear from special guests and to engage in a discussion to form the Peterborough Immigrant Advisory Table.
All participants will receive a certificate of completion.
This workshop will be held in person every Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm (January 10 to February 21).
We will provide dinner at 5:30pm.
In case of bad weather, the workshop will be held online.
Recommended:
- Intermediate/Advanced fluency in English
- Comfortable using a laptop and smartphone
