Refugee Support Orientation

We would like to invite you, your friends, family, and anyone that may be interested in joining the NCC as volunteers to a special gathering on Sunday, January 21. The gathering will be split into 2 portions.
Refugee Support Info Session
1:00 – 2:30pm
Refugee Support Team Match-up
2:30 – 4:00 pm
During the Info Session, Volunteer Administrator Sara Shahsavari will be giving an update about the refugee Resettlement Assistance Program at the New Canadians Centre, with a description of our current needs and an orientation on how you can get involved as a volunteer.
After the info session, we will split up into Refugee Support Teams.
During the Team Match-up session, you will join a table and introduce each other. As volunteers, it’s important for you to get to know each other and discuss how you hope to get involved on a support team. We will be happy to answer your questions and help you find a volunteer role that works for you. At the end, we will set a date for each team to meet again.
