“Spread the Word” Media Training

With the ever-changing media landscape, how can you get your message out in the way that best reflects your organization?
Tune in for a workshop that demystifies how media works and leaves you with the contacts, context and skills to communicate with confidence.
You’ll learn the difference between a media advisory and a press release, how to prepare for an interview and what do-it-yourself skills make the process easier.
The workshop will be led by Lois Tuffin, a freelance writer and editor who ran the Peterborough This Week newsroom for 15 years. She has also served as a CBC correspondent, long-time YourTV panelist, blogger and event organizer famous for her ability to pull in constructive media attention. She will share her secrets to help your group succeed.
This is a hybrid event (in person at New Canadians Centre, 221 Romaine St, Peterborough, ON K9J 2C3 or online via Zoom).
