Welcoming Newcomers

The Northumberland Welcome Pass Launches Today!

At the New Canadians Centre (NCC), we believe in the power of community and connection. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce the Northumberland Welcome Pass—a special initiative designed to help newcomers explore and engage with their new home while enjoying exclusive discounts from local businesses.
The Welcome Pass program is a partnership between the NCC and generous business owners in Northumberland County who are committed to making newcomers feel at home. By offering free or discounted products and services, these businesses are playing an important role in fostering inclusion and belonging. So far, six incredible local partners have signed on: The Squishy Goose, Café Lviv, JJ’s Steak & Burgers, The Pink Café, 241 Pizza, and YMCA Northumberland. From delicious meals to fun activities, this pass makes it easier for new residents to connect with their community.

The Northumberland Welcome Pass is valid for one year and is available to residents of Northumberland County who have lived in Canada for less than five years. This initiative has been a great success in Peterborough for over 15 years, and we are excited to see the same positive impact in Northumberland.
We invite local businesses to join us in making a difference. By becoming a partner in the Welcome Pass program, you’ll be contributing to a more inclusive and vibrant community.
