Mental Health Working Group

The goal of the Newcomer Mental Health Working Group is to improve newcomer access to mental health services and programs in our community through identifying challenges and gaps in service provision, sharing information and resources, and organizing professional development opportunities.

This working group has evolved from the Settlement Working Group which has its origins in the Resettlement Task Force that was established in 2015. The Task Force was a coordinated response to the establishment of Peterborough as a Welcome Centre for government-assisted refugees from Syria.

The group meets regularly. To join the Mental Health Working Group, please contact the Director of Community Development.
