Survey of Immigrant Needs
We are committed to:
- Coordinating the collection of data/shared metrics among PIP members to measure progress and impact
- Conducting and using research to inform policy and advocacy efforts, including championing and sharing best practices.
We conduct a survey of immigrant needs every two years and share the findings with our community to inform service delivery and program design:
- 2023 Survey of Immigrant Needs (report, video presentation)
- 2021 Peterborough Immigrant Needs Assessment
As the lead member for the Peterborough Immigration Partnership, the New Canadians Centre is a member of Peterborough DataSHARE.
We collaborate with the International Development Studies department at Trent University by hosting student researchers who are enrolled in the Specialization in Global Migration and Refugee Studies. We also host research projects through the Trent Community Research Centre and applied research projects through Fleming College.
