The Peterborough Welcome Pass offers newcomers an opportunity to connect with the Peterborough City and County. Through the generous support of our partners, newcomers can access free or discounted local cultural activities and services.

The Peterborough Welcome Pass is valid for one year from the date issued to the holder.

Hope Mill welcomes all newcomers to visit their facility. Free admission but donations gladly accepted.

A historic sawmill on the shores of the Indian River, it is operated by The Friends of Hope Mill Inc.; a not for profit corporation. Hope Mill provides people with the chance to see heritage equipment cutting and finishing lumber just like it was done by our pioneer ancestors. A woodworking museum and archival records are also on site.

The Kawartha World Issues Centre (KWIC) promotes dialogue and understanding of world issues to enable people to engage in positive social and environmental change. This is accomplished through organizing educational events and workshops, animating youth-led initiatives, facilitating working groups, supporting community research projects, internships and placements and sharing resources.
