Seeking Young Leaders for NCC’s Youth Council

The New Canadians Centre will be launching a Youth Council comprising of newcomer youth in Peterborough.

As part of the Youth Council, young leaders will share their ideas and collaboratively come up with plans for change and engagement with newcomer youth while building leadership and advocacy skills.

The Youth Council will meet weekly for 1-2 hours after school. Meetings will be held virtually.

Eligibility

To join the Youth Council, you must:

  • be currently attending High School in Peterborough/Nogojiwanong
  • have experience as a newcomer or as a first or second generation Canadian
