“Time to Get Organized”
February 5 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
To receive the materials from this workshop, please contact Michelle Nguyen, PIP Officer at [email protected]
People often come together to respond to a common need. Such informal groups can accomplish amazing things but can do so much more when they become more formally organized.
This hour-long workshop will explore the advantages of incorporation and decisions needed around Not-For-Profit versus Profit; incorporating provincially or federally; and Charitable Tax Status.
The workshop will focus on the incorporation process including Name Search, developing Articles of Incorporation/ Constitution, By-laws, and the resources needed to “get organized.”
Format: Hybrid (in person at the New Canadians Centre and online via Zoom; Zoom link will be emailed the day before the event)
