Leah Simms-Karp

Leah grew up in Ottawa in an artistic family where she learned about advocacy, community, collaboration and organization.

Before starting with NCC, Leah spent many years working in administration across sectors, with a focus on the arts.

Leah has a degree in Cultural Studies in Film and Media and Indigenous Studies from Trent University, where she focused on Indigenous multidisciplinary performing arts.

Outside of NCC, Leah enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  Leah is driven by this work and is excited to continue to be immersed in Nogojiwanong’s diverse and inclusive community.
