Mariam Akhter

Mariam moved to Peterborough in 2015 and since then has been engaged with NCC primarily as a learner and occasionally as a volunteer. 

She studied Political Sciences in Bangladesh and worked with small children as a teacher before immigrating to Canada. In Peterborough, she completed some professional training and participated in several workshops related to food handling.

Mariam loves to interact with people from different cultures and shares her own experiences to help them adapt to a new environment. She spends her leisure time with family and numerous friends.
