Marisa Kaczmarczyk

Marisa comes from a background in the non-profit sector for many years and is excited to continue her journey at the NCC.  

After graduating from Trent University, Marisa worked for a number of local organizations that further international cooperation, community development and social justice, including Kawartha World Issues Centre, Horizons of Friendship and Jamaican Self-Help.  Most recently she worked at the federal constituency office of MP Maryam Monsef, with a focus on immigration and citizenship files. 

Marisa’s parents are immigrants to Canada, which has given her a deep appreciation for the experiences of newcomers. She feels fortunate to be part of the team of NCC staff and volunteers who are dedicated to building a sense of belonging and possibility for immigrants and refugees, and creating a welcoming community for all.
