Join us for a community picnic and dance to celebrate Welcoming Week 2022!
Pablo Terry and his band Sol de Cuba will provide live entertainment at Millennium Park at this community dance and picnic. Born in Cuba, Pablo received his musical training in the Cuban Army and at the renowned Escuela de Artes in Havana.
Admission is FREE! Please bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic dinner (and your dancing shoes!), so you can enjoy the music and dance the evening away!
This event is part of Peterborough’s inaugural celebration of Welcoming Week – everyone is welcome!
Welcoming Week is an annual opportunity to recognize and celebrate the people, places and values that help everyone feel welcome and that they belong in their local community, no matter where they come from.
This year’s Welcoming Week takes place from September 9 to 18. It marks the 10th anniversary of what is now a global event, and Canada’s third year participating nationally.
