Trip to Ballyduff Trails & Tallgrass Prairie Seed Harvesting

We’re so thrilled to partner with our friends at Kawartha Land Trust and Diverse Nature Collective on this trip to the Ballyduff Trails!
Join us for this trip to the Ballyduff Trails where you will learn about the Tallgrass Prairie – one of the rarest ecosystems in Canada, home to a diversity of plants, grass, and animals, and help gather seeds from this endangered ecosystem! After lunch, participate in a guided walk/hike of the trails! It’s a perfect spot to take photos and enjoy nature!
A bus is provided – leaving the New Canadians Centre parking lot (221 Romaine St) at 10AM & returning at 2PM
Participants are encouraged to wear outdoor shoes and bring a picnic lunch. This is a great outdoor activity for the family!
Open to newcomers in Peterborough & NCC volunteers.
