Food Safety Training

Become a certified food handler! Learn how to safely prepare and serve food as per Ontario regulations. This course is offered free of charge to clients of the NCC and will be delivered in English with Arabic translation. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course. In partnership with the Peterborough Toastmasters Club, we are offering a free 5-week training program to newcomers to help develop public speaking and presentation skills. A certificate will be provided at the end of the course. Learn and practice embroidery while meeting other newcomers! A new program for newcomers to learn or improve their embroidery skills. We will provide instruction on basic embroidery stitches with the aim of creating a personalized needlebook. This is a partnership with the Embroiderers’ Guild of Peterborough. All materials are provided. There are 4 sessions within the workshop series: Tuesdays from January 14 to February 4. Participants must attend all 4 sessions. Registration is required.
