PIP collaboration on Storytime and Discussion series celebrating diversity for children and families
June 2020 Edition of Partnership News by the Peterborough Immigration Partnership
The Community Race Relations Committee of Peterborough, Compass Early Learning & Care and the New Canadians Centre are partnering to deliver a storytime & discussion series called “Stories For Hope, Healing and Belonging”.
Storytime and discussion will run every fortnight on Facebook and all are welcome to participate. The next session will be July 7, 2020, 12pm.
The goal of the series is to share stories that celebrate diversity with children and families and host a discussion for parents and educators to share follow-up activities to extend learning. The books will be donated to the Toy and Book Lending Library at Peterborough Child and Family Centres after they are shared online.
