In Peterborough, community leaders have formed multicultural organisations and faith networks:

- Bangladeshi Milon Mela
- Brazilian Community in Peteborough and the Kawarthas
- Peterborough Canadian Irish Club
- Peterborough Chinese Community Organization
- Sikh Fellowship of Peterborough
- The Indo-Canadian Association of the Kawarthas (ICAK)
- The Peterborough Baha'i Community

PIP staff provide support to the groups to increase their capacity to
- collaborate with each other
- promote their programs and events in the community
- organise community-wide gatherings
